Prices for certified and sworn translation are set by the State Boards of Commerce (JUCESP (SP), JUCERJA (RJ), JUCEMG (MG), JUCEPAR (PR) etc.). Public certified, sworn and consular translations are charged by ‘lauda’, for the ‘version’ or ‘translation’ of personal and technical documents in any language. In public certified, sworn and consular translations, 1 lauda corresponds to 1,000 characters (without spaces). As such, the number of laudas is not necessarily equivalent to the number of pages in the document.
For a precise estimate of a sworn translation, we need you to send a copy of the front and back of the document, by fax or email. To carry out the translation itself, originals of the documents are required.
